The Green News report clarifies the Obama administration's ban on new mining projects at the Grand Canyon (Bush Administration green lit 10,000 mining projects which will not be affected by the ban). And Walmart might seriously change the green game by releasing a universal green product rating system.
The system will be developed by the University of Arkansas and will require their suppliers to report on water, energy, waste and toxicity of products. I know of several such systems being developed right now (some have been 5+ years in the making) so it will be interesting to see if Walmart can really make it happen as quickly as they say.
