Rebuilding Together is a not-for-profit organization that provides critical repairs, accessibility modifications and energy-efficiency upgrades to homes and community centers in low-income areas at no cost to the recipients. Many of the homeowners are elderly or veterans, and the upgrades help them stay in their homes longer. Corporate partners donate materials, labor, volunteer hours and more toward the mission of safe and healthy homes for all.
In this video we look in on a Rebuilding Together project in action. The project includes installing a new roof, painting and re-flooring three bedrooms, repairing doors and a complete rehab of the master bathroom for a family in need in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Volunteers from the local Georgia-Pacific mill share how the experience has helped them get closer with their community.
