I think it's awesome how people look at Gandhi, who led a successful non-violent resistance against a foreign occupier, and assume that his statements on how to carry out such a resistance are perfectly and entirely applicable to their own political convictions.

Notably so, I just threw away a plastic bottle. Never fails to anger environmentalists. What are you going to do next? Tax me for throwing away recyclables?
In Chicago, they tax us for plastic bottles assuming we'll throw them away.
