The GM Sierra K2500 is the best performing of the four pickup trucks that appear on the Meanest Vehicles for the Environment 2011 list. While it may be the best performing, it is still a poor choice because of its environmental impacts. The truck averages 12 mpg in the city and 17 on the highway, earning the Sierra a Green Score of 21. For consumers who just have to have a truck, a better alternative is the GMC Canyon with a Green Score of 37.
