Eco-savvy consumers in the market for an electric vehicle will have several new models to choose from this year. The Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf changed the face of the electric vehicle market in 2011. While these two vehicles served as front-runners for the coming electric vehicle revolution, 2012 may prove to be the year of the electric car. Some of the world’s biggest automakers will be bringing new electric vehicles to market in 2012. They are not alone, though, as smaller automakers also have plans for EVs in the coming year.
