Sometimes, it's about how fast you can go from 60 to zero. Stopping quickly and precisely can be vitally important in emergency situations, when even a fraction of a second can make a difference. New technology from Mercedes-Benz can respond before you even step on the pedal.

When you're hitting the brakes to avoid an accident, the last thing you want to worry about is how quickly your vehicle will come to a stop. Predictive brake priming anticipates the need to brake based on the speed you lift your foot off the accelerator. By the time you step on the brake pedal, the brake pads will have moved closer to the disc, which are pre-charged for quicker response.

If your wipers are on, your Mercedes-Benz knows that your brakes are probably getting wet, too, and periodically squeezes the brakes just enough to reduce water buildup. And when you're stopped on an incline, Hill-Start Assist automatically holds the brakes for an extra moment so you don’t have to worry about rolling back. There's even a function that makes waiting in traffic a little easier; it holds the brake foot-free until you're ready to start again.

Adaptive Braking Technology makes braking more confident and comfortable by responding to road conditions and adapting to you.
