Chevrolet has teamed up with Apple to offer Siri in two of its popular vehicles, the Chevrolet Spark and the Chevrolet Sonic. This includes the Chevrolet Spark EV, which is scheduled to hit the showroom floor in mid-2013. Customers that have a Siri compatible iPhone operating on iOS6 or higher will be able to take advantage of several hands-free and even eye-free tasks through the seamless Siri integration.

 

After pairing a Siri-compatible phone with the Chevrolet’s MyLink system, drivers can complete tasks without taking their hands off the wheel or their eyes off the road. To reduce distractions even further, if the iPhone is in Eyes Free mode the display will not light up while completing these tasks.

The Chevrolet Spark EV will be available in mid-2013 for about $25,000 after a $7,500 federal tax credit. The Siri-equipped gasoline-powered Chevrolet Spark 1LT and 2LT as well as the Sonic LTZ and RS will be available in early 2013.
