Despite the troubles that Toyota is facing, the company plans to reveal its latest luxury hybrid, the Lexus CT 200h, at the Geneva Motor Show. Lexus originally planned a surprise reveal, but a CT 200h brochure was leaked and Lexus will let the cat out of the proverbial bag a bit early. Tomorrow, Vice President of Lexus Europe Andy Pfeiffenberger will host the official Lexus CT 200h press conference at the Geneva Motor Show in Stand 4211, Hall 4.

The Lexus CT 200h will be the first full hybrid vehicle in the European premium compact car sector. The vehicle features a four-cylinder 1.8-liter VVT-i gasoline engine with a second-generation Lexus Hybrid Drive system to offer several driver-selectable driving modes — EV, Eco, Normal and Sport modes. Unlike the Lexus hybrids available in the domestic market, the Lexus CT 200h will have an approximate 2 km EV mode driving range at speeds up to 45 km/h.

Toyota hopes to draw a younger clientele with the Lexus CT 200h. The five-door configuration allows for ample passenger space but also significant storage space when the rear seats are folded down. The vehicle comes with standard 17" alloy wheels and will be available in two new to Lexus colors — Flare Yellow and Fire Agate.

More details about the new Lexus CT 200h will be available after the press conference.
