'Entourage' star surprises with slim look
Jerry Ferrara, who plays the character 'Turtle,' says he traded burgers and fries for tofu and organic fruits and vegetables.

Jerry Ferrara's character on HBO's hit series "Entourage" may have the nickname "Turtle," but it's clear from recent photos that his physique no longer matches the animal.

The 31-year-old has reportedly lost more than 55 pounds since shifting to a healthy diet back in 2009. "Sopranos" star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who the actor recently split with, supposedly inspired him to make the change. Ferrara says he dropped the burgers and fries, started taking hikes through Los Angeles' Runyan Canyon, and consumed tofu, organic vegetables and fruits. No expensive celebrity trainers or fancy diets required.

Season 8, the final season of "Entourage," kicks off July 24 on HBO — and while we'll only get to see a ridiculous eight episodes of Turtle and the gang, chances are good that a big-screen version of the show is in the future. Constance Zimmer, who plays studio exec Dana Gordon on the show, told US Weekly that the final episodes point strongly to a feature-length film.

"I haven't seen any 'signed' paperwork, but there's a lot of talk," she said. "I think that it's more than a possibility. I actually think that it's going to happen."

Check out a trailer for Season 8 below.

Entourage is by far my favorite show and I love watching it in HD. Working for DISH helps me appreciate the great HD programming they provide. I love knowing I’m really getting the most out of my HDTV.

He is trying to look good for his next auditions but I think all these guys are pretty much typecast and they won't find any decent roles after this. They better save their money because this is as good as it gets.

if you think your obese--your going to be so-- all your life-- the first step to weight loss is turning around the thoughts about yourself! Do make that change before even buying your heart healthy groceries.

I have lost 32 pounds by doing the same, watching what and how much I eat. It's taken me 18 months to lose that weight and I still have 30 more to go. It is true, eat in moderation, watch for the extra fats, cut down the sugars and carbs (bread, bakery..), eat 3-6 oz's of protein, find healthier snacks, learn to order what you need when at a restaurant and try to become more active. It's an everyday decision for me what to fuel my body with. Oh yes, buy more locally grown food or else grow some
.... More
of your own vegetables. My son has me hooked on watching "Entourage". I truly enjoy the characters and their escapades. Good luck to all.

Good job losing the weight Mike but I can see shedding the weight isn't a high priority in your eyes.I lost 80lbs in 6 months and was putting over 8 lbs of food in my body a day and 10lbs of water a day.It was my priority to be in shape. If you workout 2-4 hrs a day and do this 5 days a week you should show more rapid gains.
