Kelly Preston praises Kirstie Alley's organic diet

Actress and wife of John Travolta has lost 39 pounds since giving birth to her third child.

One year after giving birth to her third child, Benjamin, Kelly Preston has dropped her baby weight and is ecstatic with the results.

"When I got pregnant at 48, I didn't know if my body would bounce back," the actress tells People magazine. "I lost 39 pounds, have more energy than I had 20 years ago — and I feel amazing," she says. "I'm going to be turning 50 next year — holy s------! Hey, 50 is the new 30."

Besides a rigorous exercise regimen, which included two hours of physical activity per day, Preston credited Kristie Alley's diet program, Organic Liaison, for much of her transformation. "It's pretty much the most genius thing ever," she says of the program, having recently signed on as the weight-loss system's spokesperson.

As I mentioned back in September, Kirstie Alley herself lost more than 100 pounds after participating in ABC's reality series "Dancing with the Stars" and embracing the Organic Liaison system. “I worked really hard with different scientists and different people to really find the key ingredients that were missing and how we could really help someone along and make it really easy and fun and good," Alley said of the program.

Unfortunately, no one is exactly sure what is in the supplements, since the Organic Liaison website cryptically does not share the details. "It was very disappointing that the ingredients list was nowhere to be seen," wrote one commenter on MNN. "I have food based allergies and will not order this product because I do not know what it contains."

Fair enough — but for those looking to lose weight, you should know that while the organic program is likely helpful, the real secret to losing weight is in simple healthy eating (fruits, vegetables, small portions), and regular exercise. As evidenced above, both of these ladies worked their butts off while eating well.

"[Dancing] gave me something that I can do every day that I actually love that doesn't feel like a hardship or a grind," Alley recently said. "Getting on a treadmill every day would make me slit my throat."

"Besides a rigorous exercise regimen, which included two hours of physical activity per day" Huh, and she thinks it was the diet that did the trick. I guess it is OK to lie for your good friends. The diet works just like every other diet that says you must exercise to make it work. Maybe just exercise and eat smaller meals. duh
