Stihl Tour des Trees
In 2009, the tour took cyclists on a seven-day, 500-mile scenic ride from New York City to Providence, R.I., with tree planting along the way. This July, it starts in Chicago. Every rider must raise at least $3,500 for the trip or $600 a day (you don’t have to do the whole race) for the TREE Fund, which supports tree research.
