Karaoke and yoga seem about as compatible as, say, mustard and chocolate, but Karaoke Yoga is not only a thing, but a popular one. The bizarre brainstorm of Los Angeles-based yoga teacher Jennifer Pastiloff, karaoke yogis now have a class to belt out their best Gloria Gaynor while downward dogging to their heart’s content. With a DJ and a lyrics screen, it’s a bit looser than traditional yoga. “It's longer exhales, it's sweating, dancing," says Pastiloff. "It's not about alignment; it's about connecting to your joy.”
