Plants for cleaner air are great. I had to get rid of mine due to an allergy to potting soil.
It has never occured to me that the soil could pose a problem, but now that you mention it I can think of all sorts of allergens given off. Thanks for sharing that information. Often the allergens and odors given off by indoor plants are overlooked. My indoor plants do not exactly smell like the forest, but my dirty socks might be testing their abilities.
