Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum)Even if you tend to neglect houseplants, you’ll have a hard time killing this resilient plant. With lots of rich foliage and tiny white flowers, the spider plant battles benzene, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and xylene, a solvent used in the leather, rubber and printing industries.

These are excellent plants! Very hardy, sometimes I leave for business and dont get to water my spider plants for 2 weeks and they still keep growing! They do multiply frequently, I have had to repot mine several times in the last couple of years so what started as one plant has turned into about eight pots of spider plants!
I got my first spider plant 4 years ago and it is still alive and kicking, plus when it grows those flowers at the end of the vine it sprouts out a new one. My original spider plant has produced at least 7 new plants.
