The Webby Awards added a Best Green award this year. Will your favorite eco-site win a chance to give a 5-word speech?

Which website deserves the internet’s highest green honor? This year, The 14th Annual Webby Awards — the coveted award “honoring excellence on the Internet” — have added a Best Green award. Now, whether your favorite green website has to do with eco-eating or sustainable business or green social media, it has a chance to pick up a Webby!
Last year, close to 10,000 sites entered the competition — and the winners got to attend a glitzy gala where each got to give a 5-minute speech. Watch what brilliance Jimmy Fallon, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, and other internet luminaries imparted in this Webby video, “What will your 5-word speech be?”:
In addition to the green award, The Webby Awards also added Best Use of Social Media and Best Use of Online Media awards this year. Call for entries began today. Nominees will be chosen April 2010, with the winners’ ceremony happening on June 14, 2010. Get your eco-webby project in the running by Oct. 30, the early deadline!
