The 2012 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is so huge this year that organizers have decided to deviate from the standard three-day format and feature not one, but two weekends of rocking out. 

 

Both weekends will feature the same acts, so fans will have some new options when it comes to planning their attendance. Nearly 75,000 people traveled to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., to see acts that included Kanye West, Arcade Fire, and The King of Leon. According to the NY Times, more than $23 million in tickets sales were reported

 

This year's headliners include Black Keys, Radiohead, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. (See the full lineup below).

 

Like Bonnaroo, the Coachella Festival prides itself on integrating sustainability into the music experience, with rideshare programs, green art installations and the use of renewable energy solutions. Tickets for the festival, which will take place April 13-15 and April 20-22, will go on sale on Jan. 13. The full lineup is below.
