Conan debuts competitor to Shark Week

Comedian pulls the covers off Falling Out Of Bed week.

Discovery Channel's Shark Week has once again come and gone, delivering thrills and scares to millions of viewers who've come to enjoy the annual programming event.

As Conan O'Brien pointed out last night however, only five people die each year from shark attacks; prompting him to wonder if we shouldn't be focusing on more serious threats.

Referencing statistics that show an estimated 450 people die each year in the United States from falling out of bed, the comedian debuted a promo for Falling Out Of Bed Week.

"When gravity and drowsiness collide," the narrator ominously warns. "All this week, Conan brings you the world's most deadly nocturnal murderer."
