Many green chic living books are already on the shelves, but here comes a book dedicated entirely to green fashion and beauty — written by an environmentalist model, no less. Summer Rayne Oakes, an eco-activist and model, just published Style, Naturally, a 350-page paperback book on sustainable style.

 

I haven’t picked up a copy yet, but Leonora Oppenheim at Treehugger says the book is “geared towards the consumer showing the full range of what’s out there and how, where and why you should find it…. By combining ethical fashion and natural beauty in one book, Summer Rayne has surely created the veritable eco-style bible for every woman out there.”

 

Style, Naturally also offers some history on eco-fashion and beauty, alongside interviews with designers, entrepreneurs, and others in the eco beauty and fashion industry. Plus, the book’s printed on recycled paper with veggie-based inks — and 1 percent of the revenues from the book go to Energy Action, an environmental coalition that supports and strengthens the youth climate and energy movement.
