Clooney is auctioning off the opportunity for two deep-pocketed fans to join himself and entertainment writer Dave Karger for an intimate lunch at the Soho House in West Hollywood. The winning bid, estimated at more than $20,000, will benefit GLSEN
, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network.
The organization strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.
According to the terms of the engagement, it may take up to a year for the lunch date to be scheduled — so clear your calendar. Bidding, done through the CharityBuzz website
, has already reached $6,500 and will remain open until Oct. 11.
