Glastonbury's dense accommodations

People walk past a sea of tents on June 27 at Worthy Farm, the site of the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts.

After opening its gates to more than 175,000 guests on June 26, the annual music festival in Somerset, England put on an impressive five-day show featuring the Rolling Stones, Mumford and Sons and the Arctic Monkeys.

People take part in a muddy tomato fight on June 30 at the festival's main common. Soggy weather often makes an appearance during the long festival weekend, ensuring plenty of opportunity for impromptu muddy recreation.

Dancers perform at the Theatre Tent on June 30 at the Glastonbury Festival. In addition to big-name contemporary musical performances, the festival is also known for its smaller-scale acts focusing on dance, cabaret, comedy, theatre and circus culture.
