In the whimsical world of competitive dog grooming, things can get a little strange. From leopard spots to cartoon characters and even entire scenes, these carefully manicured feats are undeniably among the weirdest and most fascinating that the pup-loving world has to offer. Photographer Paul Nathan captures it all in his new book "Groomed."
While these pampered pooches definitely look as though they've spent long, arduous hours inside a salon, don't fret: Nathan told Feature Shoot that these masterpieces are accomplished over the course of a few days in sessions that do not exceed a few hours at a time — and with nontoxic, semi-permanent dyes.
Take a tour of some of the most giggle-worthy, creative designs of the bunch, many of which were featured at last April's Intergroom conference.
