When it comes to singing, acting, and dancing, few leading men in Hollywood can match the talents of Hugh Jackman. From Broadway dramas and musicals to "Wolverine", the 43-year-old has long been a triple-threat and the dreamy crush of women everywhere. Well go ahead and swoon some more - the guy is a mean fundraising machine as well.

Over the course of the last three weeks, the performer's new stage production, "Hugh Jackman: Back on Broadway", has raised an astounding $857,740 for the non-profit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The organization sponsors an annual fundraising competition called "Gypsy of the Year", with participation by 52 Broadway, Off Broadway and national touring companies.

So great is Jackman's ability to open people's wallets, that his charity haul in three weeks was larger than any other show throughout the entire six week campaign. “You have no idea how much sex I’ve been having,” he joked Tuesday while accepting an award for his accomplishment at the New Amsterdam Theater.

According to one source (my wife), who attended a performance a few weeks back, Jackman managed to raise some $22,000 in less than five minutes by auctioning off meet-and-greets backstage and the sweat-drenched shirts he uses during the show. The Hollywood Reporter writes that some of those tees have gone for more than $10K a pop!

Broadways Cares announced on Tuesday that their "Gypsy of the Year" campaign broke records with more than $4.8M raised. Since it was created back in 1989, the fundraiser has generated nearly $50M in donations for AIDS relief services
