Animal activist/actress Jessica Biel has finally made her film, "Hole in the Paper Sky", available to the masses via iTunes.
The 30-minute film tells the heartbreaking story of a man whose life becomes changed after meeting a dog involved in laboratory animal testing. Said Biel on her blog
, “I hope that animal lovers will be moved by this film as well because it has an animal rights element to it, which I’m a huge advocate for.”
The short enjoyed success at film festivals around the country several years ago but then it disappeared, with only a soundtrack on iTunes as proof of its existence.
Now, it's available under Apple's "Shorts International" label for the bargain price of $1.99. I downloaded a copy the other night and was left impressed — as well a bit teary-eyed. The acting is all top-shelf and the story is a beautiful tale with an animal-rights twist.
I highly recommend it.
