Maggie Grace, who starred as Shannon on the ABC hit "Lost", has landed the role of Irina in the final two installments of the "Twilight" franchise. According to Deadline, Grace will play a new "vampire threat" to Kristen Stewart's Bella. From the site,
Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other "vegetarian" vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.
While those who haven't seen or read the "Twilight" series might think vegetarian vamps snack on plants (ie; Bunnicula), it simply refers to the fact that they choose not to feed on humans. Anything else with a beating heart is considered fair game.
The final two-part film "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will be released on Nov. 18, 2011, followed by the finale on Nov. 16, 2012.
