For fans of Planet Green's "The Fabulous Beekman Boys", the wait for season two is almost at an end.
The hit reality series has announced a return to television starting March 22nd, promising new characters, celebrity guest appearances, and more amusing drama between city-slickers-turned-farmers Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell.
"We are thrilled to bring back "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" for a second season on Planet Green," said Laura Michalchyshyn, general manager and president of Planet Green. "In less than a year, Brent and Josh have become enduring signature faces on our network and have won legions of devoted fans."
"Beek-Geeks will go crazy for season two, as the stakes are raised and we see if "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" can keep their relationship and their Beekman 1802 business afloat. Of course, there is also a whole lot of llama drama."
Celebrities lined up for the new season include Martha Stewart (who appears to inspire Brent to give his barn a bit of a makeover), Rosie O'Donnell, and celebrity chef
As revealed late last year, one of the central plot lines to greet viewers will be an effort by Brent to take his Beekman 1802 business to the million-dollar revenue level . If successful, he's hoping Josh will be able to quit his full-time Manhattan gig and reside at the farm permanently.
"We call season 2 “our million-dollar challenge,” Brent said. "I told Josh that if we can reach a million dollars in revenue over the year, that would be the cutoff point where he could quit his job and we could still cover our expenses on the farm. That’s what you’ll see us working toward. We’re filming season two through March 1, so we still don’t know if we’re going to make it."
Based on their recently announced "heirloom seeds" partnership with luxury kitchen goods chain Williams-Sonoma, I'd say the boys are well on their way to achieving that goal.Season two of "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" hits Planet Green on March 22 at 10 PM (ET/PT) Check out a preview of the action below.
