It has taken some time, but celebrities are finally getting behind several new campaigns to keep public attention focused on the disaster in the Gulf and those suffering in its wake.

Sandra Bullock, who hasn't been seen much since her very public divorce from Jesse James, is one of several celebs fronting a new PSA by RestoreTheGulf.com The goal of the campaign is to get people to sign a petition asking the government to act and clean up the Gulf.

"What can you offer?" the 45-year-old actress asks in the PSA, standing along the coast. "Your voice. Speak up."

Joining Bullock are stars such as Peyton Manning, chef Emeril Lagasse, and musicians Dave Matthews and Lenny Kravitz.

Notice the petition calls on the GOVERNMENT to fully fund the Gulf restoration - not the oil companies that created the disaster?

Turns out the two sponsor groups are in bed with the oil companies and - literally - in bed with each other.

The head of Women of the Storm, Ann Minning, is MARRIED to the head of co-sponsor America's Wetland, which it turns out is sponsored by BP and Shell.

Bullock and the others meant well, but they were BADLY USED.
