Don't expect Shia LaBeouf, star of the "Transformers" series of movies and the upcoming "Wall Street 2", to be fronting any green campaigns anytime soon. The 24-year-old actor admits that he's not exactly friendly to the planet — but eventually hopes to turn that all around.
“I’m gonna be honest with you, I’m not (environmentally friendly),” he told WENN
. “I drive a truck, I’m a loser that way. I’ll figure it out eventually but I’m not the greatest guy…”
“I’m horrible, horrible, horrible. My mum hates me for it,” he added. “Sometimes I put the can in the right bin, sometimes I don’t. I have to be better about it, I know, and I’m sorry world.”
Environment aside, LaBeouf has worked hard on behalf of several charities — including running all 26.2 miles of the L.A. Marathon in March to raise funds for nonprofit site U.S. VETS
. He's also worked with the group Declare Yourself
, which encourages voting and participation, and with Hillsides
, which creates safe places for children, strengthens families, provides special education. He is also an advocate for children’s rights.
