The first trailer for Matt Damon's next film, "We Bought A Zoo," has been released, pulling back the curtain on director Cameron Crowe's latest attempt to touch the heartstrings.
The movie tells the true story of U.K. journalist Benjamin Mee (played by Damon) and his family's purchase of a financially crippled zoo in the English countryside. Despite no previous experience in caring for wild animals, and a string of personal tragedies, the Mees are successful in saving the animals and restoring the refuge to its former glory.
The film is based on Mee's memoir with a slightly larger name titled, “We Bought a Zoo: The Amazing True Story of a Young Family, a Broken Down Zoo, and the 200 Wild Animals That Change Their Lives Forever.”
That zoo, known as the Dartmoor Zoological Park, sits on 30 acres and includes tigers, lions, jaguar, lynx and cheetah, bears, wolves, tapir, and many others animals. You can check out the trailer for the film, which will debut this holiday season, below.
