While Tony Stark might not be the traditional 'green hero', his suit (minus production impacts) operates on some fantastic non-polluting totally self-sustaining power source. Sure, in past incarnations, it has had some localized environmental impacts (on Iron Man himself!) but the current version is pretty-much an idealized eco-friendly micro-generator.

While Bruce Wayne's company is very pro-green, Batman himself drives a fossil-fuel powered Bat-(-car, -jet, -submarine, -spaceship,.... More

Captain Planet

Armed with a green mullet, an arsenal of witty environmental puns and the power of the elements, Captain Planet is the ultimate eco-superhero. Who else could the world trust to defeat supervillains with names like Hoggish Greedly, Looten Plunder, Sly Sludge, Verminous Skumm or Duke Nukem? Envisioned by Ted Turner, Captain Planet and the Planeteers have been inspiring young environmentalists for decades, reminding kid that the real power to save the environment is theirs.
