Truly disappointed with the list.. I thought t'would 'a been NATURAL mysteries - not all "Homo sapienic" in origin...
so exactly, not all in universe can be explained with clear. because our world have old enough. and maybe the cryptic will be absurd forever.
I`m afraid you are wrong. All things can be exaplained, every little detail on this planet and the rest of the universe can be explained, the problem is people are too busy looking at the end of their own noses. The questions is not the problem, the problem is the people not understanding the answers.
This is silly. It assumes that our understanding, brain power, or whatever you like to call it, is as complex as the most complex functioning in the cosmos. Absurd
Actually, in mathematics it is *proven* that there are facts (true propositions) that it is impossible to prove are true. Surprisingly, human thought is strangely limited by seemingly obvious claims like "all things can be explained". I think Earth has many mysteries it will hide from humans. Some things God wants kept a secret. Earth has not revealed all her secrets. It makes life more interesting.

I learned recently about the moving stones on Death Valley. Should they make the list? Or isn't it real? Or was the explanation already confirmed? Loved the top 10, spend hours reading about the Kryptos afterwards! :)
Those moving stones have been explained, its the ground freezing and the wind, a combination of those two, nothing weird about it.
Would have thought that Oak Island in Nova Scotia (the money pit) would have made this list. 300 years and can still not figure out how the booby trapped pit was made and who it was made by, and what is supposedly there.

CNN, you are usually pretty accurate with your articles, but this one on "Ten of the World's Biggest Unsolved Mysteries" should have been named "Nine of the world's......". The Shugborough inscription was solved by Arthur Middlebrooke in 1972. Arthur had been a code breaker in WWII, and in his retirement years, he set out to solve this riddle.
