Legacy in the making

With mere months to go until the Olympic Games kick off in London, event planners are still busy at work getting ready for the crush of visitors, but the venues are just about ready for their close-ups, according to the BBC. These facilities will host hundreds of sporting events from 39 disciplines and will seat tens of thousands of spectators.

Some of the sports facilities are permanent and will be used for years to come, but others will only last for the duration of the Games before being disassembled. Either way, these venues will contribute to a lasting Olympic legacy for this historic city. (Text: Caitlin Leary)
