"I recycle and I don't litter, that's a great start," responds Christina Milian when asked about her green efforts. The actress and singer has joined "The Voice" this season as the social media correspondent, bringing her own experience with online networking to the NBC vocal competition, which has its second season premiere Feb. 5. "That's probably why they hired me. I'm a Twitter queen," she says, noting her 300,000-plus followers. "I'm on MySpace, Facebook, any kind of social media outlet there is." In her new job, "I'm going to be heavily involved with the blogging, tweeting, everything." She's also "working her way towards" the opportunity to sing on the show, perhaps joining coaches Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Cee Lo Green for a number.
A fan of the show's first season, she thinks she might have tried out had it existed when she was starting out. She's now divorced and raising a nearly two-year-old daughter, Violet, who comes to work with her. "It's a very baby-friendly set," says Milian, noting that both Aguilera and host Carson Daly have young children. The musical atmosphere might encourage an interest that Violet's mom has already noticed in her. "She's a little singer," says Milian, who's working on a new album of her own. She'll also guest star on CBS' "A Gifted Man" in the Feb. 17 episode as a pop star who falls ill with a mysterious condition.
