Internet meme goes presidential

President Barack Obama jokes around with U.S. Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney by mimicking her signature "not impressed" look on Nov. 15 during a visit to the White House's Oval Office by members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic gymnastics teams.

 

Maroney was considered the favorite to win gold medal for the vault category after executing a nearly perfect first vault early in the competition. However, after an unfortunate fall on her backside during her final vault, she was dropped down to second place.

 

Maroney was seen scowling during the medal ceremony in the wake of her silver medal win, and after a photographer captured the priceless expression, the image quickly went viral and triggered the creation of a new internet meme called "McKayla Maroney is Not Impressed."
