White House holiday tradition
First lady Michelle Obama leans down to smell the official White House Christmas Tree upon its delivery on Nov. 23 as first daughters Malia and Sasha look on with their dog Bo in Washington, D.C.
 
The tree, which will be displayed in the White House's Blue Room, is a 19-foot Fraser Fir from Peak Farms near Jefferson, N.C.

Holiday horses
A pair of large horses pull this year's official White House Christmas Tree in front of the first family.
 
Founded by the Estes Family in 1979, Peak Farms boasts some 400,000 trees currently growing in the ground. The farm previously presented the official White House Christmas Tree to former first lady Laura Bush in 2008.
