Football player donates his hair for good cause
West Virginia University lineman Pat Eger donated the hair he’s spent three years growing to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program. He initially started growing it as part of a dare with a friend, but decided to keep growing it and donate it to charity.
The program is a partnership between Pantene and the American Cancer Society that creates wigs for cancer patients.
In the video above, the team's mascot does the ceremonial cutting. "The best thing I could do to give back is actually give back a piece of me," Eger said.
