Thousands of carolers sing for terminally ill girl
Thousands of people gathered outside the home of a terminally ill Pennsylvania girl on Dec. 21 to fulfill one of her wishes: a huge holiday sing-along.
Delaney Brown, 8, has a rare form of leukemia, and last week doctors gave her just days to live.
On her Team Laney Facebook page, a picture of Laney was posted giving two thumbs up, along with the text “I can hear you now!!! Love you!”
People have been trying to fulfill as many of Delaney’s wishes as possible. On Dec. 20, Laney had another wish fulfilled when she video-chatted with one of her favorite pop stars, Taylor Swift.
The efforts are similar to those for Batkid, a California 5-year-old who also has leukemia. Last month, San Francisco turned itself into Gotham City for a day so the miniature superhero could fulfill his wishes of being the caped crusader.
