Nau pops up in Soho

Nau’s sort of had a pop-up store before. The eco-ethical clothing company opened a shop in the Beverly Center in April 2008 — only to go out of business just a couple weeks later, closing up that and all its other stores. But Nau restructured and returned — and this time is opening a real pop-up store in New York City.

 

On Wed., Nov. 12, Nau will celebrate the opening of here/nau/nyc, its Soho pop-up shop at 69 Mercer St., with a launch party featuring music from The Secret Machines, art, and eco-fashion shopping.

 

Nau describes here/nau/nyc as “part store, part music venue, part lounge and part gallery” — that also includes a coffee bar downstairs. The space will host a number of eco-artsy and green foodie events — check the Nau calendar for details — as well as showcase sustainable design, since the store will be outfitted with locally sourced, sustainable store fixtures Nau people found through dumpster diving.
