In Southern Africa there are some stunning markets too .... Greenmarket Square in Cape Town; the Victoria Falls Craft Market (Zimbabwe) and the Maputo Central Market (Mozambique).

The night market in Batu Ferringhi in Penang, Malaysia offers the best market in the world. I think the place is paradise with unbelievable products and out of this world materials. the shoes, the spectacles are all classical and spectacular. Clothes are fit for prince and princess and president. But the sea is shallow but the pond is okay

Not one African market? Really? I'd nominate Kajetia Market in Kumasi (I've been there personally), Ghana & according to friends the Merkato in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is awesome too.
