Certain destinations, from Costa Rica to Kenya, have built a reputation for their eco-tourism activities. Other places have not yet earned headlining eco-tourism status, but are nonetheless known for their amazing landscapes and abundance of plant and animal wildlife. It doesn't really matter if you are going to “the next big eco-tourism destination” or traveling somewhere that has not yet made a name for itself, because the goal is always going to be the same: finding ways to be amazed by nature.
