I would like to comment on Stonehenge.
It says here Stonehenge is threatened by several major roadways that are dangerously close.
Who every writes these articles are be on me?
Stonehenge has two roads running at the top end and the bottom end.
The A334 and the A303

We cannot preserve every single thing in the world, exactly as it is, for ever and ever. Sure, prolong the life of interesting things by teaching respect but as soon as you stop people from being able to see and experience them, there will be no interest. So what's the point?

I admit it, I've visited a number of these places. I agree that unrestrained, unregulated tourism has very negative consequences. I mean, who the hell do WalMart think they are, building a store at Teotihuacan of all places?!

However, it's silly to want to put a blanket ban on all tourism to these areas. Tourism can have very positive effects. Seeing world wonders can be a great educational experience, and can make you want to save the buildings and animals involved. It can have great.... More

Stonehenge

Known for its mystical design, Stonehenge is one of the most visited ancient structures in Europe. Over the years, the stones have been disrupted by restoration attempts and disrespectful tourists. The site is also threatened by several major roadways that are dangerously close.
