Located on a 400 acre island in Panama's Gulf of Chiriqui, the pristine Isla Palenque boasts five miles of coast and over a mile and half of soft volcanic beaches, ranging from a large zebra-striped crescent shaped beach to numerous secluded private and hidden beaches. No matter which beach you stand on, you can view the many islands that surround Isla Palenque.

Very nice secluded beaches! But like on the edge of the world when it was still a pancake. You need a lot of traveling by plane and boat to get to them and especially the latest doesn't make it a eco-friendly holiday even if it is a ecological beach. Why not, like in the old days, go to the beach near by (nearly all population is not to far from a beach if you look at night satalite pictures) if the season is there and take the train/subway/bus which drives to the destination with or without you
