Wyoming is known for its geysers, namely Yellowstone's Old Faithful, but there's plenty of other geothermal activity to enjoy. The aptly named town of Thermopolis boasts mineral-rich, naturally heated springs. Tourists can visit Hot Springs State Park before soaking for free in the State Bathhouse. An additional set of mineral pools are located nearby. They have a more widespread appeal, thanks to water-slides and other family-friendly features. This section of northwestern Wyoming is characterized by scenic mountain landscapes, so fly-fishing, hiking and wildlife safaris can also be part of the itinerary for visitors.
