This is a wonderful hike-in inn! I went for years with my family and friends. We always went in November, when it was chilly, but not cold. They have a lovely common room with a fireplace and make delicious food. I'm sure that it would be just as wonderful at any time of year.

I plan on staying at the Hike Inn at some point this summer! I love their philosophy and can't wait to check it out.

Len Foote Hike Inn

The Len Foote Hike Inn located in Amicalola Falls State Park in northern Georgia is one of the newest, greenest hiking lodges in America. The inn is accessible only by foot over a five-mile hiking trail that begins at the top of Amicalola Falls. Conservation plays a big role in the daily practices of the facility including composting toilets, solar panels, rainwater harvesting, vermiculture and adherence to the principle of “pack in, pack out.”
