Top 5 green 'South Park' episodes

When it comes to environmental satire, no show makes us laugh harder.

Frequent viewers of South Park, Comedy Central's highest-rated program, know the animated series is famous for taking current events and standing them on their heads. Its use of satire to make a point is legendary — and environmentalism is regularly lampooned, as are religion, politics, Hollywood and other topics.

Obviously, the environmental movement deals with some serious themes and implications, so it's important to take a step back every now and again to make light of what's otherwise a bleak topic. In that respect, let us now present to you the top five green-themed South Park episodes:

5) "Rainforest Shmainforest" | Season 3 | Watch Online

This hilarious episode features the boys of South Park traveling with an environmental choir called "Getting Gay With Kids" to Costa Rica. Miss Stevens (voiced by Jennifer Aniston) is the leader of the group and urges everyone to "take only photos and leave only footprints" and other green clichés. In the end, chaos ensues and the group ends up collectively hating the rain forest and its inhabitants.

Best line: "Wow, dude, bulldozers rule!"

4) "Terrance and Phillip: Behind the Blow" | Season 5 | Watch Online

Earth Day is coming to South Park — the National Earth Day organization has chosen the town to be the location of its Earth Day Brainwashing Festival. In order to get more kids to tune in and love the Earth, the organizers tell the boys that they must bring television stars Terrance and Phillip to South Park to perform. The treehuggers get violent when things don't go according to plan.

Best line: "Nothing matters more than saving the planet from Republicans."

Come on What grade are you IN?

Sorry but nothing about south park is good. Its air pollution for your ears. Really that half hour you spend laughing at fart and racist jokes could be spent doing so much more. I shame you for giving glory to such a pitiful pile of waste. Don't you think there are at least 20 different things you could to to make the world a better place rather than sit and rot away brain cells. This site is the last place I would expect to cover Top 5 green South Park episodes! Ridiculous.

shut up

stop bitching. everything is not racist and horrible and killing the environment. go make up some other crack theory like global warming and stop trashing a good show.

I've graduated foo

Buddah - I have never seen a south park episode attempting to be funny by using "fart and racist jokes". if southpark includes farts and racism it is always poking fun at politics, aspects of society other stupid tv shows that have cheap humor etc. you either have never watched southpark and came here just to be a d bag, or you are too uptight and immature, and are unable to accept the issues that southpark is investigating, and you are probably touchy whiny and have no sense of humor.

you are kidding right Buddah?

Buddah, you obviously have never watched an episode. The show is possibly the smartest show on tv at the moment. After it is all said and done it is a very insightful take on the idiotic policies, political stances and public opinion in the country. Please watch a whole episode. I guess you could be one of the very idiots the show is taking shots at.

RE: South Park

I love that nothing is off-limits with this show. That's what makes it hilarious.
