Thanks for posting this list of 10 Superfoods. I love using fish oils but I know that the best way to get healthy nutrients is from eating whole natural foods.

soy nuts had the strongest impact, perhaps because they provided soy protein as well as polyunsaturated ("good") fat and isoflavones.Soybeans and other legumes contain phytoestrogens, which are plant-based chemicals that behave like the hormone estrogen in the human body.

Sure, salmon is a superfood, but what about when we've supereaten so much of it that salmon fisheries supercrash?

That's why it's important to buy wild caught salmon (as the article suggests), which is a sustainable fish. Farm raised salmon are not a good choice.

Okay, seriously? I know - but I DO love to eat superfoods. The superest of the superfoods is the strawberry! I can't believe the strawberry was left off the list! Heck, I was once told by a very wise man that you should NEVER pass a strawberry without eating it -- they are just that good for you..... Super foods are great for you -- not sure I buy into the hype of the acai, though, but it sure seems like everyone else does.
Thanks MNN and thanks Steph!

Thanks for this list. Between this and all the the new things I'm learning from the Dr. Oz show, I've got my work cut out for me. And Acai berries are delicious.... they're just hard to spell.

This was posted as good for you and good for the earth?!!
Are these "exotic" things produced locally now, is that what you're saying? If not and it's just wealthy Americans using up fossil fuels to get 'exotic' superfoods, , where's the Good for the Earth part come in?
