This video shows what a year's worth of makeup looks like when it's applied all in one go. Directors Lenert & Sanders shot this piece, titled "Natural Beauty," with the help of Belgian model Hannelore Knuts, who took 365 days worth of foundation, eye shadow, lipstick, and blush in one multi-hour session. You can read details about the project here.

Many conventional beauty products are still made with ingredients that have been shown to cause health problems, so exercises like "Natural Beauty" have merit in showing the sheer amount of chemical exposure women are exposed to when they sit in front of the mirror and "put on their face" everyday.

It's a fascinating project, but it doesn't mean anything. No one applies a years worth of makeup on there face in one sitting. So while this is an amusing video, there is no real logic behind it. Artistically, its brilliant. But scientifically, it means nothing. It is sad how cosmetic products contain so many harmful chemicals, some that are not even approved by the FDA (not like the FDA is even legit, they're a joke). Women (and men) need to be more aware of this reality, and should be more careful

about what they are using on there body everyday. For a more informative video, I would recommend 'The Story of Cosmetics' by Annie Leonard. (http://safecosmetics.org/)
