This lip balm mixes an intense organic blueberry flavor with organic beeswax and organic sunflower and jojoba oils to create a fruity, moisturizing salve that will remind you to get your 5-a-day. Made From Earth also offers Spearmint Organic Lip Balm — with a minty flavor that’ll remind you to brush your teeth — as well as Mocha, Vanilla, and Citrus flavors
I hope to try soon.
Many beauty companies — even mainstream ones like Softlips — now offer organic certified lip balms, but few have the eco-dedication of Made to Earth. This green company’s truly dedicated to organic and chemical-free beauty. All of Made to Earth’s products are more than 80 percent organic, with the majority being more than 90 percent organic.
That made me want to love Made to Earth’s face and body care lines
— but the products I tried didn’t work for me. The Rooibos Tea Facial Scrub lacked scrubbiness, the Green Tea Toxin Cleanser left behind an oily residue, both the 3 Berry Face Cream and Rosehip & Hibiscus Face Serum coated my face with a sticky film, and the Holistic Honey Body Lotion had a slightly sour odor that was off-putting. These products have some positive qualities — the lotion moisturized and absorbed well, for example, and the face cream had a lovely citrus scent — but their downsides were dealbreakers.
I love the lip balms though. Want organic lip balm for yourself? Get them for $3.99 to $4.99 each at Made From Earth’s web store
— and use the code greenlagirl
to get an extra FREE Citrus Fresh Lip Balm with ANY order (don’t manually add the extra balm; the code will automatically add it for you). And don’t forget to enjoy real organic blueberries while they’re still in season!
