"An Inconvenient Truth" fans: It's time to put your creativity to work and design a creative eco-themed T-shirt. Threadless, a company best known for crowdsourcing its T-shirt designs, has teamed up with Al Gore’s The Climate Project for a T-shirt contest, with the goal of finding the best T-shirt to create awareness about the inconvenient truth that is global climate change.

What can you get for designing for the planet? The winner of the contest will be rewarded for his or her creative genius with $500 in cash, a $500 Threadless gift certificate, plus a new iPad 2 that comes with an e-copy of Al Gore's “Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis.” Plus, you'll know that for every T-shirt sold with your design, 25 percent of the purchase price will be sent to The Climate Project.

Just design around The Climate Project's mantra — “Reality: It’s Not an Opinion” — and submit it to Threadless. The catch: The deadline is today! I hope you already had a winning idea in mind and can sketch it out quickly!

Don't have any creative juices left this late in the week? Then browse the brilliant designs of your fellow environmentalists and score them, voting up the ones you like. The winner will be chosen June 27, 2011, after which you'll be able to buy the newly-designed T-shirts to wear proudly.
