Deborah Lindquist’s recycled cassette tape bustier isn’t the only eco-fashion statement that made noise during L.A. Fashion Week. Last Thursday, Angelenos got a look at the new line from EM Reconstruct — made from upcycled army gear.
At the UP NEXT: L.A. DESIGNERS — Brave New World fashion event at EM & Co boutique in Los Angeles, models showed off re-fashioned and modified garments, ranging from a delicate party dress made with soft, shimmering leaf-like pieces to upcycled safari wear to a very tough-looking shiny metal dress fit for an eco-superheroine.
This March 2010 mini-collection from EM Reconstruct is a collaboration from designers Krys-N-Jack and Eveline Morel, designer and owner of EM & Co who often upcycles materials to create her original designs.
Angelenos can get a closer look at the army wear-inspired line by dropping into EM & Co. at the end of this week, when the pieces will be on display and available for purchase.
