Don't want to deal with the artificial tree vs. real tree debate? Then get a cardboard tree! This year, environmentalists have two cute options to pick from. Both are made of recycled cardboard, packed flat for carbon-efficient shipping, and perfect for painting or decorating to suit your holiday decorating needs:

The Cardboard Christmas Tree (above) stands 3 feet tall when assembled — and can be painted and decorated either with the assortment of cardboard ornaments that arrive with the tree, or with your own decorations. Cost: $19.95.

The Alpine Tree from Cardboard Safari (right) comes in both plain cardboard brown and  white. For the space-deprived, these trees can be assembled into a “more compact, wall hugging, 180 degree configuration." Those with more room can, of course, go for the full tree, which measures 22 x 22 x 24 inches. Cost: $28.

What kind of tree are you getting for this holiday season?
